Sources: Rudy Gay to the Dallas Mavericks

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to send Rudy Gay to the Dallas Mavericks, sources tell GMAT Sports.


The Dallas Mavericks will send forward Danilo Gallinari, Houston's 2017 unprotected first round draft pick, Dallas' 2018 unprotected first round draft pick, and Dallas' 2020 unprotected first round draft pick.  In return they will receive the 29 year old forward out of Connecticut, Rudy Gay.

How Does the Money Work?

Rudy Gay is making $13,333,333, allowing for Danilo Gallinari's contract of $15,050,000 to fit under the 150% rule.  $13,333,333 * 1.5 = $19,999,999.50, making the trade fully legal.
