Sources: Khris Middleton to the Detroit Pistons

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to trade Khris Middleton to the Detroit Pistons, sources tell GMAT Sports.

In return, Milwaukee will receive forward DeMarre Carroll, alongside Detroit's 2018, 2019, and 2021 First Round Draft Picks.  Shooting over forty-seven percent from behind the three point line, Middleton is one of the league's premier "3 and D" guards, tallying the third best three point percentage in the NBA (only behind Kawhi Leonard and Creighton sharp-shooter, Doug McDermott).

$14,700,000 (Khris Middleton)
$13,600,000 (DeMarre Carroll)

Given that DeMarre Carroll's salary of 13.6 million dollars is greater than 14.7 million when multiplied by one hundred, fifty percent, the trade is legal.

Sources: Marc Gasol to Orlando in Multi-Player Deal.

The Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to send All NBA Center Marc Gasol to the Orlando Magic, sources tell GMAT Sports.

In return, the Memphis Grizzlies will receive twenty-five year old Center, Nikola Vucevic, along with Croatian rookie Mario Hezonja, and second-year forward, Aaron Gordon.  Alongside Marc Gasol, Orlando will receive James Ennis and Russ Smith.

Financials

Nikola Vučević ($11,250,000) + Aaron Gordon ($4,171,680)  +  Mario Hezonja ($3,741,480) =  $19,163,160 (Total)

Given that the salaries of Marc Gasol, James Ennis, and Russ Smith total less than $28,744,740 (21,379,118), the deal is legal.

Sources: O.J. Mayo to the Golden State Warriors

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to send O.J. Mayo, to the Golden State Warriors, sources tell GMAT Spots.

In return, the Golden State Warriors will send Ray McCallum along with Centre, Tarik Black, and Malik Pope to Oklahoma.


How does the money work? 
Ray McCallum is set to make $4,000,000 in the upcoming season.  Along with the aforementioned four million dollars, Tarik Black and Malik Pope make the total a combined $6,976,300 Because of the 150% rule, this allows for Golden State to take O.J. Mayo and Tim Hardaway Jr.'s $8,281,605 of salary in return.

Sources: Derrick Rose to the Brooklyn Nets in Multi-Player Block-Buster

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to send former MVP, Derrick Rose, to the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell GMAT Spots.

Brooklyn will send Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, Furkan Korkmaz, and Brooklyn's 2022 First Round Draft Pick*, sources said.  Along with Derrick Rose, forwards Kyle Singler and Vince Carter will be sent to the Brooklyn Nets.  Brooklyn will also receive the draft rights to rookie wing, Thanasis Antetokounmpo*.


How do the numbers work?

Derrick Rose is set to receive $21,323,252 in the upcoming, 2016-17 NBA season.  Along side him, Kyle Singler and Vince Carter** create a total of $30,424,809.  Given Brooklyn's cap space being a total of $38,152,643, the works even when not taking into account the returning salaries.


*Brooklyn's 2022 First Round Draft Pick is lottery protected through the years of 2024.  If not conveyed, it becomes a 2024 and 2025 Second Round Picks.
**Thanasis Antetokounmpo played for the Westchester Knicks in the 2014-15 season, making the All Defensive Second Team.
***Vince Carter's deal worth $4,088,019 is completely unguaranteed and will be waived upon being traded.

The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to sent Brazilian guard George Lucas Alves de Paula to the Miami HEAT, sources tell GMAT Sports.  In return, the Los Angeles Lakers will receive $250,000.

Sources: Jose "Jordan" Barea to the Denver Nuggets


The Miami HEAT have agreed to sent veteran guard Jose "Jordan" Barea to the Denver Nuggets, sources tell GMAT Sports. In return, the Denver Nuggets will send forward, Derrick Williams, from the University of Arisona, along with a second round pick*.

 Derrick Williams is in the final year of a two year deal originally signed with the New York Knicks, making 4.4 million dollars on the season. J.J. Barea is making slightly under 4.1 million dollars this season.

*Miami will receive Indiana's 2019 second round draft pick.

Sources: Jose Jordan Barea to the Miami HEAT

The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to sent veteran guard Jose "Jordan" Barea to the Miami HEAT, sources tell GMAT Sports.

In return, the Dallas Mavericks will receive a Traded Player Exception worth $4,096,950 (J.J. Barea's salary) from Terrence Ross' Traded Player Exception worth 4.4 million dollars.
